If you’ve been living under a rock, Hollywood’s biggest night was just a couple of days ago. That’s right, the Academy Awards! The Oscars are the second biggest betting event of the year, excluding sporting events of course. Millions of dollars changed hands as “No Country for Old Men” took home the top award of the evening.
How long, I wonder, before gamblers start to place bets on…gambling awards??? Sure they don’t have the cachet of the Oscars but isn’t it time we gamblers honor (with bets) the very institutions that afford us the opportunity to bet?
This year’s Gambling Online Magazine Awards took place recently in London with the best online casinos being recognized for excellence by their readers. Following my recent post on mobile gambling, I was particularly interested in the mobile category. In fact, the Top Mobile Gaming Platform award went to Casino Tropez Mobile.
Who was named Top Casino? InterCasino was but that’s not as noteworthy as the fact that they won for the sixth time since 2001. Well, no WONDER nobody bets. What kind of odds are you going to get on someone else?
Back to the Oscars, I guess.
